Originally produced in the late 1970s, this porcelain cachepot depicts an allover multicolored fruit and insect motif. Embossed in black, gold and green is 'Richard Ginori Manifattura Di Doccia Italy for Gucci.' This cachepot was selected by the Creative Director and Vault archivists for its particularity, character and exceptional vintage condition, and it was reconditioned by the in-house atelier. It has been given the number 114 | 21 and will arrive in tailor-made packaging. This rare and beautiful piece should be handled with exceptional care.
Sized to be used as a decorative planter, organizer, or trinket holder, this cachepot is carefully decorated with a multicolor fruit and insect motif with delicately painted pink edges. This piece was created in collaboration with Richard Ginori Manifattura Di Doccia and brought together two historic Italian brands to create a true piece of art.
Richard Ginori Ceramic Company began in the late 1890s, when the original 1735 porcelain Manifattura expanded with new technology. The historic tradition of the Florentine Maison continues and is used for Gucci Décor products to this day as an expression of excellence in Italy, combining craftsmanship, creativity and attention to detail.
As soon as you hold a piece of the Vault, you begin to write a new chapter of its story—instituting a relationship, rather than an ownership, that will forever connect one owner to the next. As the years accumulate, every mark or crease is collected onto the surface, continuously altering the item’s appearance and making it completely unique. Imperfections should be expected and treasured as the journey continues for this piece.
