Stockholm- based Rave Review was founded by duo Josephine Bergqvist and Livia Schück and debuted its first collection at Paris fashion week in 2018. Stanch advocates of climate positive fashion, with upcycling and sustainability central to it’s ethos, they work by reviving and reassembling vintage home textiles, such as blankets and bed linen, to create unique limited edition, intricately constructed designs that have a rich and joyous escapism that manifests as a progressive and unapologetic expression of femininity.
Ambitious to create new realities, Rave Review’s silhouettes, material compositions and vibrant aesthetic, bring forth the design duo’s challenging interpretation of female archetypes. Using tartan, romantic lace, nostalgic flower prints and pop-culture merchandise, the designs are a multidimensional expression of time, space and identity. With sharp and body-fitting structures, enhanced with puffed sleeves, revealing cuts, metallic rings and ceramic applications, the collection, featuring the Dee Dee Jacket with a corset-like waist, Cyndi Skirt with cut-outs and classic voluminous signature coats, is a flamboyant realisation of the power of upcycling and conscious maximalism in a new era.
