The Story

One of the seventy-seven designs created by the artist and set designer Vittorio Accornero, who first illustrated the Flora motif for Gucci in 1966. The 'V. Accornero' signature, printed onto each scarf, is a rare display of authorship and speaks to the personal connection Accornero had with the House.

Each design is known for its broad range of colors and asymmetrical composition, here the baskets at the center are the focal point, and baskets filled with different items are placed along the edges. This ‘Cesti’ drawing was created in the 1970s.
