The collections

Vault by Vans OG

With both brands sharing strong authentic heritages, this drop of Vault by Vans OG pulls icons from the archive. To create this gender-neutral collection, the designs were built using the archetypal shapes and specs of the vintage USA models from the 60’s and 70’s that had universal appeal, effortless style and lasting influence on skate and street-style. Timeless classics such as the Old Skool, SK8-Hi and Classic Slip-on’s in the core black and white, racing red Checkerboard and OG Navy colorways epitomize that certain Vans spirit that has become legendary across the world.

Vans by Julian Klincewicz

Creative cross-contamination is part of Gucci and Vans DNA. This second drop of Vault by Vans x Julian Klincewicz, sees the filmmaker, photographer, musician, artist and skater collaborate on a capsule inspired by family summers in Michigan. The ‘Pale Fire Sky’ quote on the OG Authentic and ‘Collage’ and ‘Tireless’ tees, evokes those dog day skies, the siped deck shoe sole, a nod to scampering over wet wood and rocks, the drill shacklet’s hand-drawn check reminiscent of a time of innocence. While the ‘Pure Imagination’ on the OG Style 31 is about “the whole world being your imagination as a kid.” Channelling memories of dune grass, swimming, sunburn, first kisses and summer crushes, this capsule is about experience. Built into the shoes is the idea of discovery. The suede is meant to fade – the rubber and canvas worn down, the red of the heel rubbing away to reveal purple – all symbolic of clothes worn and life lived.
