A collection of vintage items, selected by the Creative Director and Gucci archivists for their particularity and character, and reconditioned by in-house artisans. Each vintage item is one-of-a-kind, only available once and numbered to coincide with the year of the drop—a detail that further emphasizes their very limited availability.
Matching the one-of a-kind status of the vintage selection, each product comes in tailor-made packaging specially created to reflect their design. Following Vault's geometric theme, the outside of the packaging is defined by different shapes and patterns; while the inside is embossed with the identification number of your item and holds an exclusive dust bag.
The fabric extends around the rectangular shape and is trimmed with deep brown leather detailing. There are two Web inlays in green and red, a membership code that is recognizable at first glance. Once the item was brought into Vault, it was customized with hand-painted green and orange stripes, further establishing the piece's one-of-a-kind status.
Gucci has been creating recreational, lifestyle and outdoor living products since the 1950s and 1960s—enhancing the continuity between fashion and accessories. This golf bag further illustrates the concept by incorporating luxury details with a utilitarian feel.
Presented in the mid-1970s, this tennis bag is crafted from beige and ebony GG Plus canvas. Intended as luxurious sport accessory, it has a tennis racket-shaped pocket on the front. The connection between Gucci's current and past collections is highlighted by unique details created by in-House artisans, here hand-painted orange, purple and green waves customize the front.
